Are you tired of working out at home alone, or have you enjoyed working out at home since you cannot or will not go back to the gym? Either way, you do not have to be alone! When quarantine first started, I got the Peleton app. They offered 90 days free so I checked it out. I do not have a Peleton bike. I have a regular ol’ spin bike,. I liked the coaching and the variety of programs. However, I am not nearly as strong as those trainers, and I am guessing most of my CHD friends are not either. Since I have a background in exercise, I found it very easy to modify everything to fit me, and still challenge myself without getting hurt. Wouldn’t it be nice, if there was an online coaching tool that was specific for YOU?
Now there is. Jijo. I have been training on this platform for two weeks now, and it is going great! My clients, who live all over the country are meeting each other, and it is so fun! In this picture my website creators, ,Dana and Maggie got to finally meet up with my sister in law! I can talk to my clients in real time about what they need, and what they like. I can see what they are doing and provide coaching cues. We can pick times that work for us. I can help them modify to make exercises easier or harder. We can all progress together. It is safe, effective and fun and you do not need to have a lot of equipment.
I think it would be awesome to have a class full of those with chronic disease, including CHD. If you are thinking of starting an exercise program, but do not feel safe and wish you had people like to you to exercise with, look no more!
